Could anyone give ideas on how to build a arcade?

I am trying to figure out how to surround a column with stone, and then cover the beam so it looks like an arch. Please see the image attached. Than will make it more clear of what I'm trying to do.

Right now, I just have the column, and a wall in front of it, with the arch shape. However this won't work forever.

any ideas?

how cal I surround the column with this stone?

It looks like you want a wall.

Create the wall.Edit the profile to get the shape of the arcade openings right.

Create a second wall for the stone veneer. Join the geometry.

I end up surrounding the columns with a simple wall (with the stone material), adding the beam on top of the column, and a wall right under the beam, with the arc shape. still not very pretty, but it works for now.

if you have other ideas, they are more than welcome!
