Is there a way in Revit 2009 to have a room schedule (or material takeoff) break down materials required per room?  I.E. Room 201 need X amount of paint, Room 202 needs Y amount, etc.

Thanks for any help!

The answer is no....  Although you can get some quantities out of REVIT, it really is not setup to do this.   You can export information and with additional work using something like excell, you could analyse it and quantify the information.  There are probably other programs out there that are already setup to do this.

You can do this indirectly by setting up parameters to use the perimeter and room height to determine the paint area.  Ceiling areas and floor areas can be determined directly.

If you export to a database then you have more control by being able to use parameters from different categories to show almost anything that you want.
