I am making a sign plan and schedule.  I made a room tag type with some shared parameters that allow me to schedule and tag the rooms with the text and the number that will be on the room sign. (vs the text and the number that appear on the architectural plans already which are in the normal name and number categories).  The problem is that I have created a note tag to point out where the signs for the rooms are.  It can't be a room tag type that I use because the signs will be posted OUTSIDE the rooms that they reference vs INSIDE.  I would like those plan mark notes to be linked to a category in the sign room schedule, but I can't figure out how to make it work.  Please help!!!

Not the best fix .... but could you add a parameter to your door  (room number) and use a door tag?

I am doing a sign plan also, and looking into all the options better suitable for this. What did you end up doing? I did the same thing (Room tag) but then there is no option to have a free end on/attached end on a Room tag....

Help
