My firm is looking into the option of using a 3D mouse to aid with modeling in Revit 2009. Can anyone tell me if they use one, if it would be beneficial or just a waste of time and money? Thanks!

I can't say I've used one, but I have given it some thought. My conclusion was that while you are creating a 3D model, 90% of the work done is in a 2D view. About all I use the 3D views for is to check up on my 2D work, I don't actually do much work there. That being said, I couldn't justify (even to myself, a tech geek) getting a 3D mouse. Navigating a 3D view in Revit just isn't that difficult.
