I am using revit 2009 and trying to use the walkthrough feature then exporting the render images into a video format ( avi ). however no matter how may frames I used or how high of a render setting I set to the end result is a very fuzzy low res video. Is there a particular tutorial or proper setting I can look into. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Do not use the preinstalled codec in revit because it is hopeless.

Download Lagarith Lossless Codec--this does wonders.

Also make sure your graphic display settings is set to realistic with no edges. You can also tick photographic exposure to adjust the lighting of your video.

Also, a bit of advice when exporting walkthrough frames of very large models: do them by batch. I usually do 1-200, 201-400, 401-600, etc. You can them stitch them or append them together using Virtualdub (free).

Usually the resulting video will be very big as well (mine reached to 20gb for a 2-min video). So u can use Any Video Converter to convert these videos into smaller files without losing much quality. Smile

Hope this helps. Good luck!
