When a staircase cuts through a wall, how do you lower the wall and attach it to the bottom of the stairs. Also how do you draw a wall so the underside of the stairs are not seen in the room?

If the wall is curved then refer to my tutorial.
If its just straight, you can't actually "attach". you can select the wall and choose to edit the profile in elevation to trace the underside of the stair.

still got a question , when you use the cut profile to "attach" a wall underneath the stairs and you need to create a room bounding , it does not recognize the lower face of the stair as the room boundry , at least i can't seem to do it , any tips please??

but thats for a plan view , but i'm building a model to use with thermobuild for thermal calculations and need the volume of the room , there for i need a top constraint and the down surface of the stair can't be read as a finishing surface, and i can't draw boundry lines on a section view (or can i ?)

Model a floor or ceiling under the stair. Then these can be room bounding elements and define the top of your room... Stairs are not room bounding elements unfortunately.
