hey all I accidentally posted this in the systems technical support section. it belongs here. am working on a 3-story medical center building, will be our first revit project (yay!) but I am having a few problems that I can't seem to figure out: 1. the west elevation view is not showing up at all. I click on the elevation camera, and the floor level markers show up but the building view does not. the camera is placed correctly. any ideas? 2. when I click on the "ground floor" plan view, I get what looks to be items that are on the "site" plan view. the ground floor items appear dashed. when I click on the "site" plan view, I get all of the items that are supposed to be on the ground floor. I queried an interior partition wall, and the properties indicate that it is placed on the ground floor but it is only showing as a dashed line in that view. ?? 3. how do I prevent interior partitions from showing up dashed in other floor plan views? thanks.

1: Your far clip is probably not allowing you to see this. Go to View Properties and check your far clip distance. 2:Have you set these items in the demolish phase?

1. I just created a new west elevation, and it works fine. it doesn't solve the problem, but it is a work-around. 2. the elements are not in demolish phase; all are in new construction.

If you click on an elevation marker in plan, the scope of yor view is shown with colored lines - soild shows the width and a dashed area shows the depth. You can grap the grips and change this in the plan view. Same for sections.
