I have a curtain wall with a vertical grid set to 5'-0" maximum spacing and a horizontal grid set to a fixed number of one. I unlock my horizontal grid and set it to my desired height. I want to copy this same wall to a different location but when I do so the program adds another horizontal grid at the original place. Now I have 2 horizontal grids when the wall is set to 1. Any suggestions on how to maintain my created wall? Thanks!

Sorry I missed seeing this earlier. REVIT does not do a good job of explaining these systems. Storefronts & curtainwalls are really the same. In real life, they are different but in REVIT, you can use either one. The difference is the automatic feature. When you created your curtainwal, you used the automatic type. Its grids and or mullions can be preset horizontally and or vertically. What most users don't understand is that once created, REVIT continues to apply the initial rules.... meaning they seem to be hard to change. But they are not. To change them - You can get rid of the automatic features. Select your wall and get to the element properties. Change it to another curtainwall type that is not automatic. When you do that, you will get this message. "Type generated gridlines will become non-associated due to changes in the type. Press delete if you wish to remove them instead." If you hit delete Gridline, all of the divisions will be deleted. If you click OK, the gridlines and mullions will remain as created but they now can be modified or added to.
- To change the curtainwall on a singular basis, goto an elevation view and select the gridline. Select the element properties and switch its type properties fro Dependent to Independent.
