Take a look at this PDF of a preliminary plan I have started in Revit 7. I'm trying some roof variations. The first page shows a standard hip and valley roof, but when I untick the slope box in edit mode to create some gables, I enter the Twilight Zone !!!
Why does one of the roof ends sink into the wall as if it is part of the main roof body???
I know I can fix this by drawing two separate roofs, but this is standard roof with 300mm eaves, and it just won't work !!! Am I stupid or is Revit ???

This is a known issue by the factory. File a support request with autodesk as the more people that do the quicker it will be fixed.
