Hi

Rather than type in all the line data in I was thinking I could reformat my old acad.lin to suit revit.

I looked in the Registry but couldn't find it. Is it stored within each rvt/rte file?

Is seems strange that you can use Acad hatch pattern files, but not linetypes :-(

Hope you can help

Cheers

Dave F.

i don't think line patterns are read from a file as in Autocad. they are just simple dots, dashes, and spaces only. ????

I did read the help file, but as we all know about the Revit documentation, it rarely tells the whole story & leaves a lot to be desired.

Cheers

Well, in this case, REVIT HELP tells you that the linetypes are stored with the project file and then it goes on to tell you how to make them...   I don't believe it is any clearer than that and it does tell you all.

Please learn to use REVIT's help .... it is not like AutoCAD.  It is much more complete and is really a help!
