David Light had an article on this but I cannot find it. Basically, create the curved wall and use a void swept blend, with the curve of the wall as the path. Use cut geometry to cut the wall. Another method by Mr Spot is described in the tutorial section of this site - see http://www.revitcity.com/tutorials/stair-wall_trimming/ I think the first method is easier, if you are using 2009.

Hi, Please can anyone help me on how to attach the top ofa curved wall to the base of a curved ramp? I saw the older posts about attaching walls to a curved stair, and I want to know if it is the same concept i can try. I really will appreciate your help..
Thanks,
Gabrielisa

Consider using floor to create your ramp? Not sure this will get the slope/effect desired, but at least you can attack the wall tops to the floor... otherwise use tim123's advice.

place a reference plane along the bottom of the ramp. Use "attach top/base" while selecting the wall, and click on the reference plane, the wall will extend up to meet it.

I just tried this with a stair that is based on an elipse. Picking the bottom of the staor case requried multiple line segments, which the extrision did not like. Each solution I find doesnt seem to work for me.

Create an in-place void family and use that to cut the wall.

I take it back. I had to trim fillet each line segment together. It only work for one stringer of the staircase and would have to create another "roof" for the other stringer face. Maybe it is becasue the stair is curved and is skewed because of the elipse.

Im not so sure the in place void will work. The front and back side of the stair case, because of the ellipse is making it impossible to
