hi i'm an italian architect, there's a great innovation: In order to meet architect's and designer's needs, Luceplan has realized the Revit Architecture parametrical libraries of both Luceplan and Elementi di Luceplan collections (elementi.luceplan.com) supplied with 3D models and photometric data also in IES format. Available today in each product sheet on the website, the models offer professionals the possibility to view the right illumination even in complex 3D groups, with precision and high visual impact.Revit® Architecture, the Autodesk software for architectural planning developed for the Building Infomation Modeling (BIM), a key for a sustainable planning. for more information look here: www.luceplan.com

okay so im only being mean because dottsmuzz has zero posts and is obviously spamming. But moving on. The revit stuff appears to be 3d cad c**p that is imported. not created in revit. which i hate. If you don't care, thats fine, the stuff is pretty cool. doing the footwork for you. but is a lot "heavier" then it needs to be and you'll probably get thousands of lines in elevations etc.

Lunchtrayrider I see where you're coming from. He probably is just trying to sell light fixtures, and I agree with your feelings about the Revit fixtures NOT being true Revit stuff. With all these dislikes said, I am still very happy to see companies out there "thinking" about Revit Users. Have a great Thanksgiving to all you Americans!!! Dano3d

i have uploaded the famlies and had a good look at them, although the are cad filess converted to revit for what they are they are pretty good. they do have some revit solids in there and some parametrics. they are a light company and they have obvisoly spent some time getting the lights source working well. of course it would be better if they were fully revit and not cad made to revit. can't believe with all the info you put into the lights you didn't place your web address into the URL section of the family as this should be the first thing that manafactures do. any chance that you would upload all your famlies tothis site so they can be downloaded more easily. or is it possible to download more than one family at a time from your web site. i think its good to have as much manafacture content as possible even if it isn't 100% revit created. here is a test render that i did with two of the lights.

I think the best thing on the site is that luceplan supplies photometric data. The lights are pretty sweet and the photometric data is awesome to have and some of the imported cad stuff sucks. But hey, most of the families I make suck too so i'll probably find myself using these. Dottsmuzz will we see you around more in the future??
