Alright, I'll be the first to admit, it selected the wrong template when creating my slidng glass curtain wall door. I used the curtain wall panel instead of scrolling down a bit more and using the Curtain Wall - Door template. It was all fine and dandy until I needed to put in the door swings and tada they're not there.

Does anyone know of a way to change the family category to Curtain Wall - Door? Oddly enough, the Family Category is Curtain Wall Panel for both a door and a panel, but it does not include the same model line styles and won't allow the copy and pasting of model lines form one to the other.

Thanks,

You will also be missing the rest of your door information.... like how you going to tag or schedule this door...

Bite the bullet and use the right template.  You might be able to transfer something in sketch mode from family to family.

Is there a way to do this without recreating the file yet? I didn't create the file but downloaded it from this site and when i have gone to tag it in a project discovered that it was created as a curtain wall panel. I am attaching the file. I am still quite new to revit so it will take me forever to try and recreate it as a door family.

This is a poor family.  You can change the category to door and then it will tag but it does not function correctly as a curtaiwall door.  I suggest you find a better family.

Do you know where i can find one that acts like this one where you can set the number of panels and what side they are on. Really need one quickly so i can finish this project. That was the only 1 i was able to find that did what i needed it to do

Your posts are confusing.  Do you want a regular door or do you want a curtainwall door?

Have you looked on autodesk seek site?

I have looked everywhere including autodesk seek but have been unable to find a bi-folding door that allows me to actually specify the number of panels and how i want them divided. For instance, 4 panels left 3 right, or all to the left. The only bi-folding doors i have been able to find don't have that ability and with the number of projects i am using it in i need that instant flexibility that this family allowed. Just wish it was created as a door not a panel.

Now I see that this will obviously NOT be a curtain wall door.

I doubt that you will find this type of family .... just too unique.

I suggest you find a good folding door family and create multiple families from that - not all in one.

How does a 3 panel one side really work?  Seems that the handle gets hidden when open.
