We are working a project with our branch office, we are using the same central file and it hasn't been easy. Sometimes they own objects they seem unable to relinquish (Don't know why, inexperience might be the answer). Anyway, this is not about their revit skills, so back to my question. Is there a way to "kick them out" of the central file? That is, relinquish their stuff remotely, without even bothering to ask them to do it. I noticed in the revit commands TXT file the is a: "Debug-Worksets-Kill Borrowings and Requests" command, will this do the trick?

If both offices are using the same model, you need to work out how you can do this. Just kicking them out will in effect throw away their work. I think you need to read up in the help using remote as your search. Working Off-site and Off-line Multiple Members Logging in Remotely

When someone owns something and you MUST have it released, open a REVIT session, goto settings and change your user name to the party that owns the element. Open the central file, save to central relinqishing all mine, close the file w/o saving. Now at a blank screen, change your user name back to your own and open your local file.
