Matistimo active Joined: Wed, Apr 23, 2008 2 Posts No Rating	I'm trying to create our office standard door families and schedule them so they look like what we used to do in ACAD. I figured that the door "material" would just be a shared text parameter in the family so we can just label it WD and it will show up that way in the schedule. For the actual finish I created a shared material parameter as an instance so we could change the rendering appearance of specific doors. It could be stained or painted in many different colors. The problem I am now faced with is how to schedule the finish properly. In ACAD we would have S for stain and P for paint but of course now I will get the entire material name in the schedule. I was hoping I could create another parameter with a formula that when the word "Paint" appears in the finish parameter it would just return a P so it could be scheduled but it seems this is wishful thinking. Do I need to just create another parameter for scheduling the finish and manually change it to P or S? I was hoping this would all be more integrated. Any suggestions are much appreciated!Kevin
