Hi, I have a peculiar problem, and am hoping someone out there has a work around, or solution for it. I have included a picture to demonstrate a little clearer the problem. I have a set of stairs that go up 6 risers, and turns 90 degrees, i want to put a window in the wall where the landing is, the problem is, that the window extends up and into the 2nd floor wall, but doesn't cut out the wall like a window normally does. My current work around is to insert a replica window into the second floor wall, and align the window to the main floor window. Which if i didn't use schedules would be alright. But in the schedules there are multiple tags for the same window, so i just give one of the windows a 'N/A' and hope the contractors don't include that window in their orders.... thanks for any suggestions, and solutions. Tim

Hi, Have you tried adjusting your view range to include that window in the desired level? I also would do a window family that has some ways to tell Revit that whenever the cutplane is within the two lines (above & below see image), that window should show on that plan.

Check that your walls are in the same plane, as the window should cut both. Draw a section through the walls to check. Try and join hte walls - use join geometry.

just use a plan region in that area at the second floor level and set the cut plane to intersect the window below. HTH
