I am looking for hints, best practice etc. on how to add a jpeg image to an element. I want to make a picture that hangs on the wall but I can't seem to get the image to fit just right. It is either to large and I only see a portion of the image or it is too small and it keep repeating. I have tried almost everything I can think of except for the right thing. Who ever is "N" that posts his/her amazing renders on this site has the answer (plus a few more people here on this site) But I would love a layman explanation on how to accomplish this so that I can stop the "lets try this, nope, how about this, Nope, what about this, NOPE" Thanks in advance

I have had the same problem in the past and it seems like revit tends to place an image and have a border around the exterior of it...to solve this I make the plane that I'm sticking the photo on a little bigger than I need and hide it within the frame of the picture....hope this helps!

I believe that N is the last person to upload an image. With respect to the jpg, use a decal (under modeling) to apply an image. You can then stretch the image to fit, or do not lock proportions under element properties if these are different to the picture size.

Decal is what I was looking for. Also there is another way that I figured out. I sized the image in Photoshop to the size of my desired element that I want to stick the image on and then aplied it as a material. This worked for me very well too. But the Decal is much, much easier, faster and most probably the right way to do it. Thanks for the tip
