Ok I have a deadline tomorrow and they have asked for 2d flow diagrams similar to a axo style. I have modeled the 42000 m2 building with rooms and colour schedules. The colour scheme does not show up in 3d which is a really big problem as i need to show the colour schemes in this 2d flow diagram. The building is really complex with over 9 large levels that are all different and dont have time to change the colours of each slab ect to show these spaces. so a 2d flow diagram is fine but i dont know how i can do this in revit. I would like to use the colour plans i already have as they are very pretty Winking can i do this in revit or has anyone got any ideas as i dont have much time. I guess it can be 3d axo if i can show the colour scheme. This is an example of the style i need although its colour and plans obviously http://fourier.eng.hmc.edu/e161/lectures/digital_convolution_2D.gif Cryingnot a good example but shows what im trying to achieve in revit with plans and the colour scheme)

Hi,

While I do not have the answer for you as I am in the same position currently. We have a multistorey building modelled on Revit which we wish to do axo / iso cuts showing circulation flows, light patterning etc in a diagramatic fashion but I have not figured out a method of showing it volumetrically other than doing section box cuts in 3d and doing translucent coloured masses but its not as effective as I was hoping.

Perhaps something to consider in future releases ie preliminary design presentation tools?

ok what I did was duplicated 3d axo views with the section box cuting the floors only say 200 mm above the level then placing them on a sheet directly above each other. The problem was the room colours so I exported the 3d axo and touched it up in photoshop. I think its the only way unless you make coloured floors which I refuse to do Winking
