I have some 3D families that I'm making and they need to have text in them that shows up in the project. The text that I include never makes it though. I could make the text from lines but then it would be fliped around if I put a flip control in. Any other way to do this?

Have you tried using the Model Text tool in the family editor? This makes 3D text that will show up like any 3D object, but you can control the visibility so that it only shows up in plan view. I tried the plain Text tool and could not get that to show up in a project, either.

You might also try using Tags. In your project, under the Drafting tab on the design bar, click on Tag> tag all not tagged. Then navigate to the tag type you want to appear with your family. If there is not a suitable tag already loaded into the project, you can load one from the library. It may take some experimenting with the family parameters and the tag family to get them to coincide, depending on what you need the text to do.
