I say this because we use Acad for detailing and link those dwg into Revit. But I need a way to make a section in the plans that I can change the reference manualy to our Acad details. I have been working for a while on this and searched with no luck. I have made custom section heads but it still creates a view and its uneditable even if I use text and not labels.

Thanks In advance.

Matt

When we did this, the best solution was to create a dummy sheet with the sheet number of the acad sheet then place the callouts and place them on the sheet in the correct order.  You don't care what the sheet looks like because you will not be printing it..... unless you have imported a complete sheet.... why?

We just wanted a section that acted exactly like the out of the box section cuts in revit do without the view creater and the addition of editable text. Then we could specify which pages it would reference from our autodad files. Something that would be like a attribute block in ACAD. We do all of our detailing in Autocad and then link them into the revit model.

I have seen this done. I hope at some point you just detail in Revit but untill then,,I would referance the acad details back into Revit and do all your Sheet layout in Revit. That way you will not need any additional section/detail markers. Use the took as it is designed.
