I want to create 340 mm thick wall with 90 exterior layer, 60mm air gap and 190mm interior layer.I created the wall with layers but then when the wall end the air gap should stop 190mm before the wall ends.(during construction 190 thick block will be placed at end of the wall), i tried by creating 190 thk wall at the end and disallowing the joints but then outer 90mm layer turns at the end so 90+190=280 tickDo any one know how to solve this issue?

Hi, to the openings you must check in the same properties the "Open at Insert" (i think this is the right words because i don't have here Revit) and don't forget to change with "Priorities", a few month ago someone post here the same issue, try to find out....

See the attached image. For the window, the closing can be adjusted in the window properties, under construction.

In the wall and in window check the Wrapping "At insert" (interior, Exterior, both) and also try to change the "Core Boundary", play wit it and see the differences between them....

hi typhoon, i tried all options but when i shift the outer layer inside the core only i am able to get inner layer wrapped but with these lines. when i bring outer layer outside the core area and changing the wrapping at intersection as both i am able to get only 90 mm wrap not 190mm, i feel like braking my head on wall!

Hi Typhoon, I must thank you for your time and effort to help me. Please find the attachment as you shown i did everything but still my window/doors not wrapping from inside??? i tried with default windows as well! could you please have look at my file let me know where i am doing wrong?1.i want to know, do we need to add 12 mm plastering layer to avoid the floor slabs to be seen in elevation? Mostly the floors will extend till the core boundary, then its obvious we will see the floor slabs in exterior view we can avoid this by offsetting the floors to avoid this, but that's is not the correct way to go i believe). Do every one show plastering layer in their project in revit?Thanking youpush

You can get Revit to do this. I locked your plaster layer again and extended the wall to the bottom of the slab. Join the walls to the slab and it displays correctly from the outside.

You’re correct, That’s why i created this plaster layer, sorry i did not show that in my file, but my question is that this the way we have to work? (do we need have plaster layer to avoid floor slabs to be seen in elevation).Typhoon,Some where I read that we need to create a reference plan in door/window family and change its element property to wall closer, it is working in test file(check revit file) but when I try to do it in my project file its not working (see the image)………I don’t know what to do now!!!! Thank you push
