I'm having an issue with floors.  My floor has an mysterious opening it as seen in the first image, but when I go to edit this floor to eliminate it, the geometry disappears as seen in the second image.  The third image is 3d to verify that the opening is actually there.  If I delete the entire floor and redra it the opening still appears.  If I move the floor somewhere else the opening vanishes, but if I move the floor back the opening reapperas in the same spot.  I concluded that there is some thing there creating this opening.  There is no mass element; nothing hidden; nothing turned off. etc.  This used to be the location of a shaft opening, but this opening has since been deleted and this mysterious hole left in its place that can't be deleted.  Please help.

There is still a shaft opening there - there may have been two. Delete it again.

Tried.  There is no other shaft opening there.  Nothing hidden, nothing turned off.

Shaft openings are not readily visible.  Try and hover your mouse over a 3d view of the opening or use your tab button on the plan.

Hi, TIM is right, you can also select by "Crossing" and then go to the "Filter" and check if there is any shaft....

I have tried that.  There is no shaft opening there that I can highlight. The attached image shows a what was highlighted with a crossing window.  When I copy the entire plan to the side the opening vanishes.  If this was a shaft opening it would also be copied.  I do think something is there or at least the program thinks there is.

Gentlemen,  you are absolutely correct.  I am an idiot.  The shaft opening was there.  Somehow it got attached to the default foundation level (I don't know how, maybe user error).  I could only highlight the opening from this level thus it could only delete from this level and sonce I am not at the point of working on this level I never thought of checking it.  By dumb luck I checked it.  It was ignored on any other level except its base.  I apologize, you guys are brilliant.  Thanks for all the help.

I have the same issue - but possibly more complicated - i am working a project that has been using desing options, and i think the shaft opening is nested in one of them.  I have tried everything that you have listed, but have not been able to find the shaft opening and delete.  Any suggestions?

If you are having trouble selecting the shaft opening make sure select pinned elements is not checked and the shaft is not pinned.
