i am trying to bring a revit drawing into the drafting view.
how can i import this drawing done as a model into drafting view and be able
to edit it without affecting the original model.
since revit automatically generates sections and elevations from the model, i sometimes end up with the section or elevation showing more than required for a plot
for instance basement walls show on an auto-generated elevation when all i'll need to plot is a base line showing the grade and basement walls shown as hidden lines.
so basically i am asking for a way to do this without deleting the basement wall in the model if i don't want it to show up in a 2d plot.
excuse the long question and thanks for replies and suggestions

Turn off the elements you don't want to see in the section.
Change the view extents of the section so it doesn't show information beyond it.
Use the linework tool to change linetypes to be dashed/invisible etc...
Use filled regions to conceal items that can't be rectified by the above or modelling.
