Hi All,

 I started using Revit about 4 months ago for a large project.  I want to make a set of custom stairs, with concrete  precase treads.  See attached images. They height of the stairs vary from floor to floor.  This is a ten story building with what should be two different floor heights.  I'm pretty sure that I will have to create a new system family for them.  How do I start?  Does anyone have any links to a "How To" instructions?  Or any suggestions?

System families are system ... you can not create them .... however

GOTO your on-line library area and load the project that has several types of stairs already defined.  Find one close to what you want and copy paste it into your project.

You can create your own stairs within the guidlines of the stair properties dialogue box.  It's a bit tedious and somewhat limited.  That being said, the stair you posted a photo of should be fairly simple to recreate.  Read through the help then start experimenting.
