I am currently learning Revit and using it for my company. Still, we use AutoCAD which has a feature I would like to know if Revit has as well. Is there a keyboard shortcut key(s) that will redo the last command? I am drawing details and find that whenever I use the detail lines tool and escape one too many times I am back in the modify command. Is there any shortcut key(s) that will allow me to use the previous tool/action without having to move my mouse back over to the detail lines button itself? If anyone knows the proper shortcut command to enter into the Revit KeyboardShortcuts.txt file I would like to know what it is. Thanks, Marshall Loveless Architectural CAD Draftsman Titan Construction & Engineering Services Rensselaer, Indiana

I have my Detail Lines mapped to the keys DL. Just hit those two in sequence and you're back in the command.

Thanks, I got that to work. I didn't like the idea of hunting and pecking with one hand or taking the other hand off my mouse; so I changed DL to DD and it works splendid! I tried editing the KeyboardShortcuts.txt file yesterday but I could not get any of the new additions I had made to work. Any ideas why? Each time I closed out of Revit and reloaded it. There are still many shortcut keys I would like to assign; but I couldn't get it to work the first time so I haven't tried it again. Any ideas where I might have gone wrong? Any ideas what I should do to get them to work? Is there any way to re-assign my *.txt file within Revit without closing it down and re-opening it? I looked into the Help index but there was little in the way of help with this. Anybody? Thanks.

Clearly, syntax is important, so I make sure all my text lines are in the same format as the shortcuts that were there before. If there's a semicolon at the begining of a line, it is deactivated. But the other thing I can accross was that sometimes if you have the same shortcut assigned to two commands you will see a message in the Status Bar asking which one you want to use. You might look for that and change the one you don't want. HTH.
