I am using Revit 2008 and I'm wondering if there is a way to create a pdf of a view in Revit without any line weights? I'd like the pdf to read the way the image does in the model when I have all line weights turned off. Essentially, I want the option to create simple thin line drawing. I've tried going in and editing the object styles of model objects, etc. and even though everything is set to a line weight of 1, I still can't seem to generate a pdf with super thin lines. Help. Thanks.

Just create a view that does what you want.... ie - copy a floor plan & in VG, select all categories & over-ride the projection & cut lines to 1. ... ditto for

go to settings==> lineweights and set all 16 of the lineweights for the view scale you are trying to plot to the same lineweight. you won't be able to plot with any lineweights for that view scale until you re-set them, but it should work. HTH

I've actually already tried going in and setting all the lineweights to 1 and it did not change anything when I created a pdf. Do you think it has something to do with this kind of file format?

Check the size that you are printing the PDFs. If these are reduced scale then the lines won't be as sharp as they are on the screen. If they are full scale you should be able to get the thin lines that you want. Also try and print to a different printer. Some are able to print finer lines than others.
