I am an engineer and i have been getting revit plans from architects and want to begin working in revit. questions: how do i create my schedules, legends, and specification sheets in revit so that i have them for editing and re-using for future projects? also, whats the easiest way to setup new drawings for projects? for example, i need an electrical drawing, a mechanic, plumbing, etc. is their copying and pasting?? like in CAD?? thank you omcpike@gmail.com

For views like MEP and Structural you would probably want to set up seperate view templates under " settings" view templates. Make sure that once you do that you go to apply view template under "views" to your plans. (Also create seperate floor plans under the Revit browser and name them accordingly for example, MEP-1st Floor. As for legends, schedules etc, look under "view/new/ and then choose what you want to create. Took me a lot of trial and error to get my schedules to look like our office standard but that is part learning a new program. As for copy and pasting you can do that in Revit but I'm not sure what you are asking. You cannot copy and paste AutoCAD files directly into Revit but you can import them as linked objects.
