Hello Everyone, I have a pretty big problem. When I draw something in Revit, then delete it, it still shows up in all other views! Also if I add a door to a wall and decide to delete it a put in a smaller door the original opening for the larger door remains. Has anyone had this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Justin

Are you using stock Revit doors? Do the doors function properly when placed originally? Are you working in worksets with other users?

How are you deleting the object. Are you using a menu or button command or are you pressing "E" on the keyboard. If you are using the keyboard you are not deleting the object you are hiding it in view. Try click the lightbulb icon at the bottom of the screen after "deleting" the Item and make sure it is not there.

Its still there after I use the keyboard. What am I supposed to use to completely delete an element/item? Thanks, Justin

The problem is the "E" keyboard shortcut is the shortcut key for "Hide Element in View". You will need to use either the Delete Key, "DE" on the keyboard, Right click delete or Edit Menu delete to actually delete an item.

ok, wow that sucks. I have been using the E key on the keyboard. I have only been working with Revit for about 2 1/2 weeks and I came from ADT so I am used to using the E key. Thank you so much for the help, Justin
