Hi, what do really want? create a topography site by an image of Google earth or insert an image (like a texture) from Google earth in your site already created?

Hi, you can create a "Texture" and assign that "aerial Image" to the material of the topography BUT the problem is when you create a "site" you can see he create Contours and also divide the topo in "Faces", that's how the programs calculate the topography (by triangulation), so your texture-Image gonna be insert (divide) in ALL FACES, witch means, you have the same image in every triangule, and the other problem is the surface are not a regular (flat) "Slab", it's irregular (sloped) so you can't use a "Decal" on that.... i don't know if anybody solve this problem yet....

I think the best way to do this is use 3Ds max... I think 3Ds max lets you insert the "aerial view" onto your toposurface and will not calculate the surface by "triangulation" by converting your toposurface into an editable poly. not editable mesh/face which uses triangulation calculation. In other words, use polygon! Hope that helps... I have not done this myself... but i've seen this work in tutorials.
