Hi, if you want export a model from revit to 3ds max go to "File-Export-3ds max (FBX)".

Sorry, but you are wrong. Export > Save as CAD format > 2004 DWG

No, i'm not wrong, if you want export a model made in Revit to 3DS MAx the best way is "File-Export-3ds max (FBX)", in this way it assume the geometry and the materials.... Check this: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=10155245

" Sorry, but you are wrong. Export > Save as CAD format > 2004 DWG " No, not any more. Revit Architecture 2009 has been updated with the capability to export to FBX so your Revit Models go into 3DS Max Design 2009 better and with less problems. And yes you export as FBX. If you have an older version of Revit then you export in a 3D view to CAD and then bring it into 3D Max but that's only the begining of the headache!! lol Edited on: Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 1:42:52 PM Edited on: Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 1:45:58 PM
