Our company uses a Hex annotation symbol for all mechanical and plumbing fixtures and equipment. I created the Hex as a multi-category tag, set up the labels so it displays the information I want. My question is; is there a way to then have that customer created annotation symbol be part of the Revit schedules? I have attached an autocad schedule and a revit schedule to illustrate waht I'm asking.

Sorry, I am no help, but I am looking for the same thing as you. If you come across an answer, let me know, and I will do likewise.

Quick answer - no.... We usually put a symbol in our title area seperately on the sheet using linework.

Hello. Has anyone found a fix for this? We are having the same issues at my company.
We are currently using Revit 2014 and you would think Autodesk would have a fix by now.

Best think i could suggest doing is trying to find a Symbol/alt code in your character map, located in your start menu>all programs>accessories>system tools, in order to key in where the "comments" parameter is, then making a collumn in your schedule for comments, then going to the appearance tab in the schedule editor, and changing the heading for "comments" to something like, "Customers Symbol" , or something that might suite your fancy.
P.S. if you hold the alt button, and type the, i think four, maybe five digit code, and let go of the alt key, it will insert it into wherever you are typing. Let me know if that works. Might be helpful in the future if I ever run into that issue.

You can now put images in schedules. Watch creating a furniture schedule with images.
