I need help manipulating wall wraps. I'd like the exterior material (let's say brick) to wrap in and stop at the face of the exterior sheathing. Instead, Revit wants to take it to the center of the wall structure and does not seem to give me any means to adjust that. I have attached 3 jpeg immages. 1 is a cavity wall with no wraps (Revit) 2 is a cavity wall with exterior wraps(Revit) 3 is a cavity wall drawn in AutoCAD which looks exactly like what I want. How can I get Revit to draw it correctly, like we always have in AutoCAD?

Yes, but yours still cuts into the exterior sheathing a little bit. How can you control that?

I tried your solution but found no real difference. I can achieve the same thing by simply adding an inch to my air space. It seems to want to return the brick exactly 2.666" regardless of how it is defined. Try deleting an inch from your air space and see what result you get. Also, once I get this one solved my next problem is to figure out how to adjust where the door and frame sit within the wall system. The door frame needs to be framed within the stud wall width, not the veneer. AutoDESK allows you to shift the location of the door within the wall system depth but I have not found that here yet.

Well i think it works fine, about the door you can control the frame position in the properties of the door in "FrameOffset-External" and you have the others parameters to control the rest of the door...

I appreciate the hint on door placement, thanks. If anyone else has any ideas for a more precise control of wall wraps, I'm still interested in hearing it.

Try adjusting the wrap layers and wall closure settings in the door construction parameters.

Thanks Tim, I've tried that but it does not allow me to adjust the exact extent of the wrap in a cavity wall and it does not help me with wraps at an opening where there is something other than a door, like a curtain wall defined and a wall type or an intersecting with a different type of wall.

AmyCRErde Try the attached PDF - the door has a closure ref plane it (although some don't, so you may have to edit the family). The door can then overide the wall wrap settings. The ends can be controlled using the wall wrap settings. I don't seem to be able to get this to work with curtain walls though. You may have to overide these with the 'Edit Cut Profile' function. Hope this helps.

It does work with curtain walls inserted into an opening, but not with embedded curtain walls.
