Hello all, Thanks in advance. I have searched the forums and I ask for help for a specific problem. I'm using Revit 09. When I attempt to order the sheets in the project browser by sorting sheet numbers ascending numerically, I encounter a problem where they are not in order numerically. This occurs when ordering sheets like A1.01, A1.02, A1.1, A1.2...for some reason Revit sorts them as A1.1 then A1.01, A1.2, A.02 and so on; but not A1.01, A1.02, A1.1, A1.2 etc. Revit doesn't recognize the 0 as a significant digit. I have attempted to create a new parameter using the browser organization tool to no avail. Please help, thanks.

Add a shared parameters to your sheets called sort-order and use that in your drawing index. (You don't have to show the value in the index.) You will have to add this value yourself. You can then set the browser to sort using this as well.

I was hoping to avoid doing that, as the help dialog gave a similar solution. It seems a bit unnecessary that Revit does not recognize 1.1 comes after 1.09...All the great things the program does automatically for us, and yet the simple computations are left for us to solve. HA.

You don't seem to understand computers. 1.1 preceeds 1.09 but .... 1.10 follows 1.09... so the answer is simple - keep your numbering to the same decimal places!
