Hello, I've just started playing with Revit 9 (no previous experience with revit). Is there a tutorial out there that can help me create an attach garage? I've drawn the floor plan, but I realized that the garage floor is lower than the floor plan and slopes effecting the placement of 19'x9' garage door and I'm at a complete loss as to how to address this. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Dave daveb@cadnstuff.com

First, to address your issue at hand, select your door> go the properties of the door (type in PR)>make sure the level is set to the desired level>change your sill height to what is required to get your desired results. Secondly, I would try to upgrade to the newest version of Revit (Revit Architecture 2009) or at least 2008, you will find it becoming more and more difficult to find content that is compatible with older versions. Thirdly, I would start by going through a few of the tutorials - this will get you the tutorial documentation otherwise go to the Help dropdown menu and select Tutorials, this will guide you in setting up the necessary files and tutorials. Chapters 1 and 3 will be the most important chapters to start with as it teaches you the nuts and bolts of putting a model together. If you only have a limited amount of time, do these chapters first. Fourthly, become a regular at Revitcity.com; this can be the most valubale tool when learning Revit on your own. You can get answers to real world problems and advice from well known Revit gurus. Good luck... and god speed,

Thanks, I'll get to work on it. I purchased Revit 2009 Architectural ste. and am scheduled to attend AutoDesk University this year. I've downloaded the tutorial and am progressing through it now. So, thanks again, you made my day!
