I'm trying to use a family parameter to toggle the visibilty of the frames around OH sectional doors. I used a sweep for the frame and set the visible setting to a Yes/No parameter but nothing seems to happen.
Is this true with everyone here?

Providing everything is linked correctly,
You may not notice the difference at first but when the sweep is set to be invisible, (in the family) the sweep will still be visible, but the linework will change to a grey colour. This indicates it will not be visible when loaded into a project.

HTH.This was loaded into a project. The odd thing is it did shouw grey in the family editor but nothing happened in the project.
This should work though? I know there are still some areas where visible settings don't work.

From what I hear. You can't toggle void extrusions on and off.

That's true you cannot toggle a void extrusion from cutting or not cutting. (its already invisible).
Only method is to have a parameter when set to not cut changes the void parameters so it no longer intersects the solid and therefore doesn't make a cut.

AHA!!!! Got it.
My door used some voids to cut openings in the panels for windows. I noticed today when I selected the frame sweep that the voids would also highlight. I used the "Do Not Cut" tool to seperate them and the sweep would dissappear when turned off.
Thanks for the help guys. )
