You all have probably been doing this for a while, but.....I created a series of Line Based Detail Components that represent the typical items that I've been drawing in details typically with Detail LInes (Tyvek, Weatherproofing Membrane, etc.) - by making them Detail Components they can now accept tags and, better yet, keynotes (for those of you using keynotes to add text to your views).

Change it once......beautiful.

Keynotes do not have to be assigned to be able to use them but they do have to initially point at a detail/model element.  Using the user settings, you can pick the keynote and as with all tags, setting the end to free llows yo to move them anywhere.

That's correct, but now i can assign a specific keynote to a specific line element rather than constantly using Keynote User.  I don't really like Keynote User simply becuase if you're not consistant with what the host object is (or if you're like me you forget what the host is...) then you run the risk of changing, erasing, or moving that object
