I haven't had any formal REVIT training, but have had enough crash-course/sink-or-swim experience with projects that were due last year to have a good idea of what needs to be done when customizing families. Right now, I'm stuck in REVIT MEP 2008 about customizing the room tag to include the email address and phone number extension associated with the rooms being tagged. I could easily just add text boxes per room to show this info, but I need the practice with customizing/adding parameters while work is slow at the moment. I've got it to where there are "?"s where these two additional parameters should be visible (and they are set to visible) when the tag is selected in the drawing, but unlike the Name and Room Number fields, I can't edit the Phone Ext or Email fields/parameters that I added when I click on those areas to edit them on the drawing itself. I can work the Room Schedule itself to include this information, but can't seem to get it working properly in the drawing.

If you have added this parameter to rooms, as you should have, then you should just click on the room in plan - not the tag.

They're added to the rooms, as viewable by doing an Element Properties on the room itself, but how do I get the tag to show this information? I added the two labels, designated one as Phone Ext and the other as Email, the two parameters in the Elem. Prop's, but they only show as "?" when I put a tag on the plan.
