Hey..

I am trying to create custom stairs that have M-Miscellaneous Wide Flange for the stringers..

Now I went into new>family>rails to create false rails and move the stringers down to create the ones I needed but when I try to load the new family into my project it cant create it.

What am I doing wrong?

The family you need load should be a profile family and then add it to your rails in your railing setup.  This is a beam family and is not really of any use.

SO I kinda figured it out..But I run into the problem of the lower stairs showing thru.

And can I remove the ballisters?
