We have a combined model that links in 3 seperate revit models (the building is very big). All our sheets for printing are in the combined model so that they can be controlled in terms of drawing numbers etc. When we create details in the combined version (section or plan callouts) and use detail components such as a brick we align the brick to the wall and everything looks fine on screen - however when we print the detail the components are away from the wall - it is as if the wall isn't where it looks like it is on screen. As I say these are all linked models. We were advised it may have been to do with an old cad topo survey that was linked into the file but we located this and completely removed it and the problem hasn't changed. We do not have this in any of the 3 linked in models only the combined. We are contemplating making a new combined model but this would mean all the existing views and sheets would need setting up again which is a very time consuming task. just another note - when you hover over the component its outline is not where the component appears to be (see attached detail_hover.pdf)

Detail shows how the detail prints, and detail_screen shows what I am seeing on screen.

any help would be greatly appreciated

here is some advise that Mr. Spot posted in another thread, it may help try it

"Without having the file its very difficult to diagnose something like this as there are so many variables.

Basically if it looks fine on screen and its printing differently its usually vector glitch.  Try printing raster settings as this always resolves these inconsistencies between what shows on screen and what you get in a print."
