Hi!

I have made a wall in 3D that consist of 3 materials, each one has a different surface color that can be seen in 3D.

Can anyone tell me how can I export this 3D wall so finally when I'd open it in the Autocad, ther would be thre layers with different name or atleast one layer but the surface colors would differ? Does anyone knows how to do that?

Best regards..

Some ideas,

 1.create subcategories and assign different parts to sucategories and control export in revit to different layers and color ids.

2. create different views with elemets hidden using element hide command or visibility graphics and export each view as seperate files and use xref command in acad to merge model back together.

One thing is that I have to get in autocad as a 3D. Other thing is, that all these thre materials are in one wall. One surface is yellow for example and another (interior) is blue.. What to do then?

PS. Thank you for ideas!!!=)

Hi, i think you must update the new "Web Update 20080915_2100" for Revit Architectural 2009, like you can see in the Web update Enhancement list", they solve some issues to this version, this is the link: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=11017599
