I created a receptacle family and everything is perfectly fine with it. I created an above counter receptacle family and an under counter receptacle family. The under counter receptacle family is 18" AFF and the above counter receptacle is 48" AFF which is typical for all receptacle practically. Well, when I plot out a sheet, every sheet does this, the 18" AFF receptacle annotations are half way cut-off, almost like there is a mask around the walls, but the above counter receptacles plot out perfectly fine. Now when I change the elevation of the 18" receptacles to 48" they plot out fine, but I didn't want them 48". So I changed the cut plane to 1' 0". Now the receptacles on some projects plot out fine but others don't and the ones under a window are always cut off. Now I also went in my visibility graphics override and in the "Revit Links" tab I changed it from host view to custom with the following settings: Linked View: Floor Plan: First Floor (saying I'm in a first floor view) View Range: Host View Phase: Linked View Phase Filter: LInked View Detail Level: Host View Discipline: Coordination (So the walls, windows, doors, etc. won't be half tone and show up darker) Color Fill: Host View Object Styles: Host File Nested Links: Parent Link Note: Linked View means its take the settings of the linked file or the architects model and Host View means it will take change according to my settings. They look fine in the plan view or in a sheet view. It only does this when I plot out a sheet. Does anyone have any idea why my receptacles are being cut off? Thanks in advance!

Without having the file its very difficult to diagnose something like this as there are so many variables. Basically if it looks fine on screen and its printing differently its usually vector glitch. Try printing raster settings as this always resolves these inconsistencies between what shows on screen and what you get in a print. HTH.

I agree. . Too bad there wasn't a revitrocks FTP site or something there of to upload a part file. Say up to 20MB at least. Diagnosing these problems would be SO much easier with a file in front of you. Half the time people can't properly explain the problem it in words / snapshots let along try to fix it. One day we'll be saying "Ya, we used to diagnose REVIT problems with just text and images".

Yeah you're probably right. The family wasn't even a Mb. The problem was the vector processing. Thanks alot. This program pisses me off so much sometimes. Like how you can't add a spare breaker and that the panelboard is the size of asia. Our firm just started using revit this year and we have probably about 12 nice size projects in the past 4 months and i'm the only one in our electrical department that knows how to really use revit, everyone else just did the tutorials which doesn't teach you curse at all. but thanks alot for solving my problem. I didnt even think about it. Thanks
