Some of my walls are not showing the detail in plan view. My detail level is set at fine. My cut plane is at 2'4". The walls that don't show the detail are all 2'8" high. Cut plane doesn't seem to have anything to do with it....as I have tried other cut elevations. Any suggestions? Thanks!

REVIT has a problem with short walls so your experience is not unique. If I remember right, I played around with the view depth & primary range. This was discussed in the past but I don't recall the thread.

I guess no one ever came up with an answer for this thread...
Im having a similar issue. In my floor plan none of the walls are showing their detail-despite being in fine detail level mode. Oddly enough however, I can see the detail in my RCP. This is really an issue in that I am unable to dimension to the face of core on my floorplan because it is not showing up as an option I can "tab" into.
Seriously frusterating. Anyone know how I can fix it?
Thanks

This thread was interesting to learn from,
However, all the walls I am dealing with are top connected to the level above them, so they are all over 8'-0" tall. Confusing right?
Any other ideas?

Your problem may rest with your process. Top connected and sketched walls do not behave the same as defined walls. Whenever possible, the wall definition should be close to what the wall is. If the wall ends 15' above the level connected to a roof, don't describe it as 8' and then connect it.

So Im a little confused by your suggested issue. I think you are trying to say dont edit the profile of the wall when it is easier, and more effective to change its defined height....is that correct? Cause if so, none of my walls have a edited profile. They are simple, even height walls that I have told to be "base constrained" to my floor level and "top constrained" to my TOS level.
In addition how does your suggestion effect how the wall would read in plan view? My main issue is that my walls in plan will not show their detail when in "detail level:fine". It doesnt seem to matter what plan view either. I have created new plan views and they all do the same thing - however the RCP acts normally.
Thank you again for your help in this

My suggestion does affect how the wall shows in a plan view - read the link that teafoe gave.
