When I export form Revit Arch. 2009 to gbxml, the gbxml file does not export linked Revit files included in the file. Shy from binding these links, does anyone have input on how to include Revit links in a GBXML export?

when I export Gbxml I always do a save as on the link (to avoid screwing up my linked file) then do the export directly from inside the link. This way I can re-work any phasing/space issues too.

How about in the case for example an architecture file hosts a structural file as a link and I would like  to export the architecture file as a gbxml file with the linked structural file?

My first question is, if you are calculating the heat loss by hand, and are only looking for accurate information as far as wall lengths, wall directions, amount of glass per wall, etc. isnt that going to be included in the arch file? If that was the case, you wouldnt have to worry about what is in the structural file.

With that said, here is my best guess on what to do since I usually work with only the arch file:

Have you used the copy monitor function for the structural components? My files from the arch usually have that taken care of already for the structural information. You'll need to import the structural information stadards through the transfer project standards, set the copy monitor options to include the correct types for columns etc.

I hope this helps

I eventually figured that I would not need the entirety of  the structural model. All I really need is the floor objects that I have copied over. Thanks for the confirmation.
