I am having some trouble getting a header to work in my door correctly. I have figured out how to get the wood header in the door family, and set where it needs to be vertically. It shows up on my plans correctly, with a line on the second floor over the first floor door. The screenshot I attached shows this. It is a veiw looking down at the first floor walls dashed below, and the header as a line over the door (it needs to be dashed, but I know how to fix that). My only real problem at this point is getting the lenght of the header set. I am having no luck trying to set a parameter to adjust the length of the header. I can tie the header to reference planes, or put a dimension with a parameter on it, but as soon as I change the door width I get a "Constrants not satisfied" error, and the header length doesn't change. How do I tie the header length to the door width? I have attached the door family I am using.
