Linked file "b" central.rvt cannot be saved because it has changes in more than just shared coordinates and therefore can invalidate local files by you. One of my coworkers mistakenly linked revit link "b" central into revit link "A" central. Now the above error happens. I am going to try removing from central A. Kicking everyone out of the project for alittle bit, saving a new local and linking from local saving back to central and then... having everyone replace their locals with the updated file. Sound feasable? Also I need to link "a" into "b" Basically a core and shell issued now with interior buildout later. I just started in Revit for the 1st time Last week. This is pretty exciting.

Sounds workable to me. I LOVE it when people rearrange the central file. Kicking everyone out and redoing the central is the only way to fix the problem. We've found that a little instructions sheet in the central file (Usually on a titleblock called "READ ME FIRST" as to how to save, link, and generally use the workset helps with keeping the central file clean. Best of luck.

This error occurs because of cad files loaded into one, or both of your revit files. The cad files block revit from saving through the link. Are you using cad as a reference in one of the files...updating the cad link as you work? This is the problem. It is changes to these cad files that Revit is referencing as "changes to more than shared coordinates". Remove the cad files and everything should be fine. Check the AUGI forum for more detailed info on this problem.

If you need to have cad references in your file - import it into a detail component family, then load it into the project.
