Let me start by saying that I searched the forum for all posts regarding visibility problems but none seems to adress the one i am experiencing. I use RAC 2008 for quite sometime but I just cant figure out what i am doing wrong. I have a site with 4 different buildings in it (parent file), so i modelled each one in separate file and linked all of them to the site file (host). All of the buildings floors have the same levels and the site as well. Since i want all the drafting i made in each floor of the parents files to be shown in the host file i changed the visibility settings of the linked files to display settings by linked view, in each floor. Now that i created some ramps and walls on the site i want them to be shown for instance in my first floor level so i changed the view depth. The problem is that this walls, stairs, ramps that are under the balconies of the first floor are shown (pic 1). When i change to the site floor plan though everything is shown correctly (pic 2) If I try to change the visibility setting of of the site floor plan and put the linked files to linked view the site floor plan will look like pic1. I can understand the problem since all visibility settings of the linked files and the host file are exactly the same. I really hope someone can help me with that. p.s I tried using plan regions but it seems they dont work ok with the linked files and the problem was not solved.
