When I set up the view I want to render and then click "Render," things will go fine for the first few seconds. After about 10 seconds, the "percentage done" box closes, and the image becomes black. Adjusting exposure, etc. does nothing. This happens whether I'm using sun, sun and artificial, or just artificial. I was rendering in the same project yesterday! I'm thinking there may just be something w/ the project file because I can render in others... any thoughts???

I don't think I have. Render works fine in other projects - it's just this one not working.

Did you shut this down or did REVIT stop the oeperation? Did you open your computer's task manager and look at the performance graph to see if REVIT was still doing something? Some things take awhile to process and if you shut it down too early, you will have nothing. If this was an interior view and you had no light source ... 'nuff said.

Revit closes the dialogue box (I have "close when completed" checked), and nothing's happening in the task manager. It's an exterior shot - I've tried many camera angles, regions, sun/shadow settings...

The only other question I have is .... is it late in the day and you ate up all of your available memory. REVIT does some funny things when it doesn't have enogh memory for images. You can test this theory by just re-starting REVIT and then rendering.

Got it - some RPC people I'd dropped in seemed to be the problem. Weird. Thanks for the help!
