I noticed this post quesiton has still not been answered: http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=4141 I would also like to know how to create a wall reveal and have that reveal a speciific color. Properties of reveal does not allow this. The reveal just creates a cut in the existing material. Anyone know how to make that cut metal, or any other painted color on plaster for example as an exterior metal reveal??? Thanks

After the reveal is cut you will see a default material (gray) guts of the wall. All you need to do is use the "Paint Can" tool to color the remainder of the cut wall with what ever material you want.

Hi, when you create a "Reveal" in a wall it's like that, it's a "VOID" who CUT some portion of a element in a wall, so, i can't put material in a "Hole", the material it's only in the wall.... to create a Reveal profile go to FILE-NEW-FAMILY and choose "Metric/IMPERIAL PROFILE-REVEAL" THEN WITH LINES DRAW THE SHAPE YOU WANT (CLOSED).

Well, Robin has a point, you can use the "Paint" tool, chosse the material you want and with TAB key you can choose the face you want to change....

OK, I found the paint can tool, tried to select all reveals and then paint all which does not work. Isn't there a way to just pain all cuts a certain color without one by one selecting each face and changing the material attributes. Oh, and tabbing will not select all reveals. Thanks All

Yeah, the problem with this is you must "go" one by one with "Paint" tool command and select the "face" of the reveal, the TAB key is not to select ALL faces reveal in one time but to alternate to the faces....
