can anybody tell me how to make a hollow profile for mullion of curtain walls

and also how to make mitered corner joint...coz at the corners mullions form a butt joint which in case of a odd shape doesnt work out..

Hi, to create a profile mullion you go FILE>NEW>FAMILY and chhose Metric(Imperial) Profile-Mullion.rft or also you can chose Metric(Imperial) Profile-Hosted.rft and change the "category and family" to "mullion"....., but in this case use the first one...

i followed the above thing and loaded in the project but it is showing this dialogue The selected mullion profile either contains more than one profile loop or an open profile loop and cannot be used. Valid profiles can only have a single continuous closed profile loop. i want to create a hollow profile

You can create a mullion like that (i just did it right now), what you must to do is draw that shape BUT you must create 2(two) aditional lines (no matter where) intersecting the 2 lines (the minimum space beetween is 0.00021)" and trim each other to create ONE "polyline", did you understand? but is it like u cant make hollow profiles may be handrail, frames, sweep, etc.

and wat about the joints of the mullion..cant it be a mitered joint..???
