Hi there. This is a problem I come up against all the time. If I create an opening in a floor with a ceiling below it (as in around stairs), how do I fill in the gap so that the residents can't see all of the spiderwebs etc. in the roof cavity? I am using Revit Architecture 2008 Thanks

Remember - this is BIM. You would do exactly what you would do if it was built. This is a ceiling bulkhead. In essence, a wall that starts at the ceiling and goes to the next level - so you model it that way. If the bottom of this wall meets the stringer, then you can cut a section through the stair so you can see the wall in elevation and edit it's profile. BTW - I think something is wrong here. I would think that either the wall is held away from the railing so there is a gap or you would not have a guard here - just a handrail against the wall we are talking about. That leads to the question of whether this landing shoul really "peek" onto the floor below. Seems like you really can't see down because the ceiling is so low so this is nothing but an "up skirts" area.
